Comprehensive Guide to Buying a Dacia Sandero in the UK

Dacia Sandero (2010-2012)

The Dacia Sandero is a popular choice in the UK for its budget-friendly price combined with a generous standard equipment list.

• Affordable
• Generous standard equipment
• Good fuel efficiency

• Interior looks and feels cheap
• Ride quality is less than stellar
• Resale value isn't great

When buying used, look out for high mileage cars and make sure the service history is consistent.

Dacia Sandero (2013-2016)

The Sandero had a facelift which included a modernised interior and improved safety features.

• Inexpensive for a new car
• Impressive spec for the price
• Solid build quality

• Still not the most comfortable ride
• Fewer safety features than rivals
• Some plastics inside still feel cheap

When buying used, make sure all recall work has been completed and there are no underlying mechanical issues.

Dacia Sandero (2017-Present)

The latest model has seen some improvements, but maintains the charm of being a no-nonsense, affordable vehicle.

• Excellent value for money
• Spacious interior
• Low running costs

• Crash test ratings are mediocre
• Interior quality is still basic
• Doesn't feel particularly engaging to drive

When buying used, particular attention should be paid to the condition of the brakes, tyres and exhaust system.

Competitors of the Dacia Sandero include the Ford Fiesta, Vauxhall Corsa and Kia Rio.

When looking for a used Dacia Sandero, I recommend using Carsnitch to find the history of the car for free. This can help you avoid potential problems and gives you peace of mind in your purchase.
