In terms of style, the Giulietta probably has no competitors whatsoever but it does lag a bit behind on the practicality front. Whether in the motorway, city streets or less than ideal country roads the Giulietta adapts to the environment quite well and, on top of that, it is very fun to drive thanks to the Alfa Romeo exclusive D.N.A switch system that basically alters the throttle and steering responses according to the driving mode selected (Dynamic, Natural and All-Weather). The interior is as sexy as the exterior with a very eye-catching design that is simple but at the same time very appealing. It is built with good quality leather, but it does have some cheap looking plastics on some places like the lower down on the dashboard. As for the tech available, the Giulietta comes equipped with smartphone connectivity, DAB radio, Bluetooth, a six speakers sound system, CD player and voice recognition capabilities. All of these are tied to the Uconnect system present in the5-inch touchscreen incorporated in the dash. When analysing the more practical aspects of this Alfa Romeo it becomes clear that they were not a priority at all. The problems start with the divisive cabin ergonomics that do not offer a very comfortable driving position, continue in the lack of space inside the vehicle (legroom and headroom are very limited for adults both in the front and in the rear), and end in the poor visibility out of the back thanks to the tiny rear window. The 350 litres is good enough but for a bit small for a hatchback such as the Giulietta.
