Another good-looking SUV from the Vauxhall brand, the Antara is worth its cost even if it is outdated in some respects. In terms of driving experience, the Antara warrants no complaints. It has good body control, precise steering and an adjustable driver's seat for greater comfort. Six-speed manual gearbox is available for the front-wheel-drive versions and both six-speed manual and automatic systems are available for the 4x4 versions. When compared to its competitors in the crowded SUV market, the Antara lags a behind in the practicality front. The boot (420 litres) is alright for a SUV but not spectacular, the interior has lots of space both for passengers and for storing but once again it's not as much as its main competitors. It does come with lots of standard equipment namely air con, heated front seats, front fog lights, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation system, rain sensitive wipers and electronic climate control. On the safety front the Antara comes equipped with front, side and curtain airbags, stability control, anti-lock brakes, hill start assistant and adaptive brake lights. Although lacking in some respects, the Vauxhall Antara is still a good SUV that can get the job done.
